Report from the 2009 DAR ComFest

First of all, in the Ladies catagory, Elaine LaFontaine VE7MOI won the Fox Hunting beam antenna donated by Lou VE7CGE.

Next, in the Gentlemen's catagory, a new member, Keith Whitney VE7MID won a 2 meg attenuator used for Fox hunting. This was donated by Amel Krdzalic VA7KBA.

Both winners are members of the Burnaby Club. The draw selections were made by people outside of the club.

The Antenna Tree display for our Radio Sport Group. Note the furniture dolly which supports the Antenna Tree. In full display, the height is about 12 feet. Much higher than most Christmas Trees in homes. I wonder what goodies might appear if this was installed on December 24th. It certainly would not fit in my living room.

To sum up everything, we all had a good time. Many people attended the Banquet on Friday night. The food was good, the guest speaker presented a travelogue and a good time was had by all.

Next year, we would like to hold a fox hunt on the Saturday and make a weekend of it. Our special thanks to the hard working members of the Delta Club for a job well done.
